LEED Certification

LEED LogoGreen building promotes the design and construction of homes that have much higher performance levels than conventional homes. Residences built to a rigorous green building standard are healthier, more comfortable, more durable, and more energy efficient. Because it is a real challenge for consumers to pick legitimate green products and services with today’s unfounded marketing claims, the homes on Williams Hill will use the USGBC’s LEED for Homes Gold criteria for certification. The LEED for Homes Rating System provides a basis for quantifying the benefits of green homes and requires a rating by an authorized third-party to ensure the standard is met. This simplifies the process for buyers and eliminates the often confusing and competing claims in the construction and real estate industry. All material selections and construction techniques are documented and energy performance is tested before the home earns its certification.
